Scholarship level kid who we can’t take because of how good we are doing on the trail. It’s new territory around here and it’s a good sign. Also 6’2” so that’s always a plus. Both Hahn and Gifford wouldn’t be coming here if we offered a regular walk-on spot. Quote Link to comment
BigRedBuster
When was the last time we took a kid out of 8 man? Honest question, I don't know. Quote Link to comment

My problem is with handicapping future recruiting classes, but I guess this can help when there's attrition and we can only have so many initial counters. Quote Link to comment

Attrition is actually a good thing as long as you aren’t losing starters and quality players. You are just breathing some life into the program having kids move on and bringing in new blood. Even so...we’re spreading it out until 18 months. Quote Link to comment

Apparently I didn't get this list updated last year. But here's what I have from other recent years. I might be off on a couple of the schools. 2017 Hunter Miller - OL/DL - Stromsburg, NE (Cross County) 2016 Ty Chaffin - WR/TE - 6-4, 200 - Burwell, NE (Burwell) Tanner Hass - RB/LB - 6-0, 195 - West Point, NE (Guardian Angles CC) 2014 Trent Ortmeier - OT - 6'6", 270 - West Point, NE (Guardian Angels) Garrett Poppen - LB - 6'1", 215 - Giltner, NE (Giltner) 2010 Derek Foster - DB - Elm Creek, NE (Elm Creek) 2008 Taylor Dixon - DB - Wauneta, NE (Wauneta-Palisade) Quote Link to comment

I’m sure if he gets here and it’s clear he’s not going to contribute, he won’t get the scholarship. 1 Quote Link to comment

Farms
Shout out to all the walk-ons that signed their NLI today as well. My brother is one of them so I’m pretty biased but this is another great walk-on class. GBR! 3 1 Quote Link to comment
