Roxy’s Go Big Red Seasonings

Recommended Posts

I like to use this in sauces, pasta, on top of Cheesebread before baking it and even popcorn.  Even though it has Parmesan Cheese in it, I like to add more Parmesan Cheese on the popcorn and then shake some fairy dust in.  After I have it mixed up in a bowl, I put it in a shaker by the stove for convenience.  When I was one of the managers at a restaurant years ago, I made this many times.

Fairy Dust:

1/4 Cup Parmesan Cheese-(From Container)

2 T. Garlic Powder

1 T. Oregano

Onion Salt-(To Taste)-Recipe Calls For 1 T. But I Start Out With Less & Do A Taste Test

Until It’s Right So It Isn’t Too Salty

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and put it in a shaker by the stove for convenience.

Mexican Seasoning Blend:

Use In Mexican dishes or a rub for meat to add some spice.  I sprinkled it on some fried potatoes the other night and it was good

2 Tablespoons Ground Cumin
2 Tablespoons Chili Powder
2 Tablespoons Paprika
2 Tablespoons Dried Oregano
***I Used Dried Oregano Leaves Because That Is What I Had
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
2 Teaspoons Cayenne

Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container; refrigerate.

***I save empty seasoning shakers and use them to store homemade seasonings.
