What happened to pride? What happened to the TEAM? What happened to treating your one body with respect? For any athlete trying to perform at the highest levels, any drug or alcohol is not good for them. Hahaha! Dude, the NBA has more dudes smoking pot than any league by far and those guys are performing just fine. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

If someone could get in with the "I don't care if people wanna get high but what about team and commitment?" hot take we can stick a fork in this one and call it good. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jeremy
I start to get mad about this crap, but then I remember they're kids, and kids make stupid decisions sometimes. I should know this, but are either of these kids potential starters? Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Quote “Yeah, it’s a problem,” Frost said. "Trust me, we’ve had a lot of conversations about it as a team and individually. It’s going to continue to be a problem not just with us, but with college athletes everywhere, particularly with it being legalized other places. “But our team understands that I don’t care where it’s legal and where it isn’t; it’s illegal according to the NCAA, and I don’t think it’s beneficial for guys that are trying to accomplish what our guys are trying to accomplish. "We’re certainly not unique in that we’ve had a few problems with that, but we’re doing everything we can to try and help kids not do it, and we’ll keep fighting that battle.” HOL 1 Quote Link to comment

But really, back in the day, if it wasn't too serious of a deal they would sort of look the other way. Of course it would be better if these guys were more careful and didn't seem to get caught so easily. Back in the day they would tell you to park it, if you were drinking, and it better be there when they came back by in a few hours. If you were close to home they would follow you home, and tell you it better be there the rest of the night. Times change I guess. GBR!!! 1 Quote Link to comment
teachercd
I have an old teaching buddy, almost 70 now, he said that when he was growing up the DUI wasn't really even a thing. He said he wasn't even sure if it was even a law when he was in his teens but he told me that basically if you got pulled over they would either drive you home or sort of escort you home. Frost doesn't want a team of pot heads? I'll wait for all the burn outs to wake up in their mom's basements and post how stupid Frost is, how stupid the NCAA is, etc etc etc. Message board guys must be smarter than the head coach.....as always. 2 1 1 Quote Link to comment
