Okay Sherlock, I'll walk you through it slowly.

No one's right to vote is being taken away.

But the wave of GOP changes to the voting process are solely designed to make it more difficult for historically Democrat voters to vote. That's not even up for debate.

Plausible deniability allows people like you to clutch their pearls and feign outrage at the accusation, because, in fact, the right to vote is not being taken away.

But the right to vote being made more difficult in ways that are clearly racist, partisan, and even childish. These measures do not correct any systemic problems in the existing system, other than the danger of Democrats winning.

Well said. There's also many videos of Republicans just flat out admitting to it all, since they don't lose voters for just saying the quiet part out loud:

Then there was the Trump Voter Fraud Commission in 2017. It was totally serious, for sure. (It found nothing and disbanded after half the members resigned because they didn't want their names associated with it).

From your linked article, was it really voter suppression when record turnout happened:dunno or is this narrating the news to fit a viewpoint?

“Although GOP voter suppression tactics backfired as record numbers of people of color turned out to vote”

All this time and you now finally see the light.  Was it calling me Sherlock that did it?

Either way glad your on board and welcome to the non-insane world.

"Sherlock" was used to adhere to community standards.

Nice dodge though. I expected nothing more of you.

From your businessinsider link.  Why did the article not include the comments directly before the one they attributed to him.  20 minutes of audio?  Isn’t this what you complain about and you say with Project Veritas videos?

Clark told the AP that his point was "Republicans have historically been falsely accused of voter suppression and that it is time we stood up to defend our own voters." He said he did not condone anyone's vote being "diluted" and that "our efforts will be focused on preventing just that."

Well considering that we're debating the intent of GOP maneuverings, the words "GOP voter suppression tactics" and "backfired" pretty much put that narrative to bed. Thanks for joining us in reality.

Do you want me to walk you through why it "backfired" and provide linkage as to why the state GOPs and their Democrat opponents are doubling down? Or can you do that yourself,  Professor Moriarity?

Wait. Clark said that?

I guess that changes everything.

Feel free to do and provide anything you like.  I just hope a few people can somehow someway find their way vote in the future through the gauntlet of rules.  If not we may have to find a new way to put politicians in place since people may not figure out how to break more records voting.

Yep. Unless you want to provide the 20 minute audio

Anyone saying that the Republican legislatures that are passing these voter suppression bills that demonstrably target demographics that overwhelming voted against the Republicans is flat out lying.

Everyone here knows this.  Everyone here knows there was no statistically significant voter fraud.

Laws that allow voting at 6:00 am Monday through Friday but won't allow voting until 1:00 pm Sunday just to target the tradition of "Souls to Polls" are passed for "election security"???  Lol....talk about bulls#!t.

No, Einstein. Go back and read my posts, where I walked you through how people use this kind of "plausible deniability" to pretend what they're doing isn't amoral.

Again, that part's not really debatable. It's the GOP playbook. Feel free to read all the other words tucked around the quotes you cherry-pick.

Sorry if words like "plausible deniability" are a little fancy for your taste.  We could also double check if you're having trouble with the word "suppression." which is not synonymous with "stripped away."

I’m on record for saying Sunday voting should be a thing.  However, saying someone can vote on Sunday after Church but can find no other time to do so....LOl talk about bulls#!t

Why do you think Sunday voting should be a thing?
