Republican Anti-Democracy and Voter Disenfranchisement

Recommended Posts

You can’t reason with the people that believe this s#!t. Even Fox News is dismissing claims of fraud. They’ll just move onto the next sketchy conspiracy theory website and use it to justify their opinion, and their opinion will never waiver. All this will be shot down by the courts but instead of realizing they are wrong, they’ll say the courts are filled with dems and RINOs out to get trump. There is no end, trump won’t concede, he won’t admit defeat and these people will continue to live in their own reality.

The number of people threatening violence to the poll workers and others who are a huge part of our democracy is sickening.  When I see these on the news or the interwebs, it feels like something I would watch as a kid when they showed footage from 3rd world countries or countries with dictatorships.  Honestly, that's how Trump wanted to preside over the U.S., as a dictator.  It's amazing that he has so many followers willing to do these horrible things.  Of course, Hitler had his followers which enabled him to gain so much power in Nazi Germany.

Look at what Rand is saying. He doesn't want typical non-voters to change the outcome, so he doesn't want more people to vote.

No he’s not.  He makes the case if a state has mass Push mail ballots when he says that is not current Georgia state law, and not Pull mail ballots, it invites things like ballot harvesting from typical non voters and that could change election outcomes.

He never said “he doesn’t want more people to vote” unless that’s in a different clip you will be soon providing.

Ballot harvesting is NOT ballot stuffing. I'm totally in favor of making ballot harvesting illegal to minimize the chances of ballot stuffing, but only if other means to make voting easier have been implemented too.

As for Rand, he's clearly stating that he doesn't want non-typical voters to change the election outcome. Why? Why doesn't he want more people to vote instead?

As American citizens with the absolute right to vote, mailing ballots to every registered voter should be the norm.

It's simply absurd that we should have to jump through any kind of hoop to vote. Every barrier should be aggressively removed that would in any way make it harder for Americans to participate in the most basic of democratic functions.
