Mavric
Quote Nebraska announced the hiring of two senior administrators on Wednesday morning. John Johnson will join the athletic department from Washington State to be Senior Deputy Athletic Director — Chief of Staff to Bill Moos. He’ll oversee the operations of the men’s basketball department, replacing Marc Boehm, who served in that role the last 17 years. Johnson worked with Moos at Washington State for seven years, and was at WSU for 15. He served as a Senior Associate Athletic Director. “I am grateful to Bill Moos for the opportunity to again work with him and his outstanding team,” Johnson said in the press release. “It is an exciting time for the Huskers, and I look forward to being part of the incredible legacy and tradition that is Nebraska.” Garrett Klassy was also hired by Moos to be Nebraska’s Senior Deputy Athletic Director — External Operations. Klassy was previously the athletic director at University of Illinois at Chicago. OWH 1 Quote Link to comment
knapplc
Wazoo has been to the NCAA Tournament twice during Johnson's tenure, 2007 and 2008. They have three wins & two losses in that span, reaching the Sweet 16 in 2008 before falling to North Carolina. Since 2009 the Cougars have gone 138-184 and are on their third head coach. These are jobs that people who get started working at a college in the athletics office dream of getting one day. The pay is fantastic, you don't need to be "in the office" 8-5 everyday, you get to go to all the games for all the sports (if you want) and you are working in a college/athletic environment.
