Defensive Play

Things are getting slow if the 3-4 v. 4-3 argument is active. In HS our basketball team all wore Air Jordans and played a full court press like Tarkanians UNLV rebels.. didn't seem to work as well for us as it did for MJ and UNLV. Could there be other factors that apply? dedhoarse

Both Wisconsin and Oregon running 3-4s

Pretty sure there are more New Year's Six teams running 3-4s than aren't.

Both schemes work if you have the Jimmies and Joes built for the scheme who execute consistently with a passion.  Same can be said for different schemes on the offensive side of the ball.

I'm not trying to say middle-of-the-pack is an accomplishment.

But if I'm reading this right, our scoring drives allowed (which the defense has control over) is pretty decent compared to where our opponent's drives start (which the defense doesn't have much control over).

Look at next seasons opponents, 5 are in the lower left quadrant and another 4 are in the lower right quadrant. Aint gonna easy this fall.
