JJ Husker
Dug up a few tidbits on Connor Culp. He was LSU’s guy in 2017 but was behind 2nd team all American Cole Tracy in 18/19. 2017 20 of 23 extra points 11 of 16 field goals, 47 yard long Composite 3*, #9 in country by 247 & #4 by Scout In high school, 63 of 67 kickoffs for touchback. Sounds like an upgrade for the Huskers. Toss in the Aussie and our kicking game may not be an embarrassment. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
Fru
Just having a kicker that can put KO’s in the end zone will help. Those KO returns for TD’s absolutely drained the momentum against Iowa and Wisconsin 2 Quote Link to comment

GSG
Meet Connor Culp, Nebraska’s new kicker who vows to learn from his errors at LSU Quote LINCOLN, Neb. — Connor Culp answered deliberately, like a 22-year-old with a national championship ring on order and the perspective gathered from two seasons on the bench at LSU after his quick rise and fall as a freshman with the Tigers in 2017. The question: When you first considered transferring to Nebraska, what did you think of its kicking situation last year? “It was definitely unique,” Culp said. “And a very unfortunate situation. Kicker is one of those positions where you don’t know you really have one until you don’t. And then you understand how big they are and the role they play in the game.” Quote Coach Scott Frost hired Jonathan Rutledge in February from Auburn to serve as a senior special teams analyst. Rutledge will coordinate the kicking game by delegating responsibility to assistant coaches. The kickers will likely report directly to Rutledge. According to Culp, the Huskers’ renewed commitment to special teams “is the highest I’ve been around.” 1 Quote Link to comment
Gorillahawk
It’s great to have a guy as reliable as Culp been this year but frustrating because so many of those drives ended in the red zone and should have been touchdowns 1 Quote Link to comment
