Pie Crust Treats/Pic

I was thinking of my mom and I remember her making treats out of pie crust.  So I used google and the Hubbell Methodist Church cookbook to help me make the pie crust treats.  I used a pastry recipe from a lady who was a very good friend of my mom and it sure came out great and it was so easy to make!  Here is the the recipe I used to make the treats if you care to make them.

Pie Crust Treats:

Pastry:

2 Cups Flour
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1-1/4 Teaspoon Salt
2/3 Cup Cooking Oil
3 Tablespoons Milk

In a bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.

In another bowl, whip oil and milk with a fork.

Pour oil/milk mixture over flour mixture and stir until all flour is moistened.

If you are making pie, press dough evenly in pie pan, covering sides and bottom.

Yields: 2 Pie Crusts

I form the dough into a ball; divided it in half and flattened slightly to form a disk.  Wrap each disk in plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

On a floured cutting board or surface, roll each disk out.

In a bowl, put 1/4 cup softened butter, 1 cup white sugar and 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon; stir.

Sprinkle cinnamon mixture over each disk; cut into desired shapes.  I used a small glass and put it upside down in the dough and turned it.

Line a cookie sheet with Parchment Paper and put the cinnamon treats on.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 8-10 minutes or until just browned.

Cool cinnamon treats completely and put in a Tupperware container or whatever kind of container you have.
