Huckleberry Muhammad
Our kicker stated that each "icing" done by the 'Cats' coach caused him to lose his nervousness a bit more, until he finally was able to see straight and make a scoring kick. Kudos to the Northwestern coach! 2 Quote Link to comment
B.B. Hemingway
I can't believe the bonehead didn't use any of his timeouts to try and save some time for his offense.... Oh, "I thought about it, but I thought he'd miss the FG".... Bulls#!t, Fitz! Quote Link to comment

CapoValley
Fitz has had some real clunkers lately. Yesterday wasn’t a particularly stellar day for either coach. 1 Quote Link to comment

He might as well have just said, "Our offense sucks so bad that I knew we couldn't drive 90 yards anyway." Quote Link to comment

3rd and long
I’m guessing he realized with his inept offense it wouldn’t really matter if he had timeouts since the likelihood of them driving and scoring was minimal. So the best use was to try and get the kicker to miss and win in OT. 1 Quote Link to comment
Comish
I actually believe calling the 3rd T.O. helps the kicker because after that, the uncertainty is gone. If you use the first two, the kicker remains uncertain and that plays to the advantage of the defense. Not that this is on only Fitz, but as a general rule. 4 Quote Link to comment

Moiraine
The FG kick was terrible, other than scoring 3 points , so his bet was almost good. It was kicked lower than 3 or 4 defenders' hands. Quote Link to comment
