Trump's Syria Atrocities

Recommended Posts

For the benefit of the world, Trump needs to be removed from office by impeachment ASAP.  The GOP stooges who support the guy need to be voted out.  It is beyond belief how this ignoramus  was able to take over our govt and thereby ruin our standing in the world.  To abandon our ally in their time of need will ruin our credibility for many years.  Trump is the Manchurian candidate - owned by Russia to promote their interests and the interests of their allies.  What a a-hole

The Syrian Kurdish-led authorities accused Turkey of shelling a prison holding Islamic State (IS) militants of more than 60 nationalities, calling this “a clear attempt” to help them escape.

There was no immediate comment from Turkey.

The shelling on Wednesday night targeted part of Chirkin prison in the city of Qamishli, the Kurdish-led authorities said in a statement.

“These attacks on prisons holding Daesh (IS) terrorists will lead to a catastrophe the consequences of which the world may not be able to handle later on,” the statement said.

The statement did not give further details.

This is all premeditated. Trump helped set this up.

Trump boy is lucky Turkey is a NATO ally, otherwise it's not hard to spin this as treason since it's pretty obvious they are letting ISIL loose on purpose.

I have seen very few, if any, try to defend these actions. Even the corrupt party-line stooges (Graham, Hume, etc.) have been very critical.

they are critical for the public show....privately they hold other opinions.  check out what these russian  "pranksters" (probably russian spies) got from graham.

“Your YPG Kurdish problem is a big problem,” Graham told the pranksters. He was referring to the Kurdish People’s Protection Units, a group that began fighting ISIS as part of the Syrian Democratic Forces in 2015—with support from the U.S.—but is considered a terrorist group by Turkey because of its push to establish an autonomous state for the Kurds on the Turkish-Syrian border.

“I told President Trump that Obama made a huge mistake in relying on the YPG Kurds,” Graham continued. “Everything I worried about has come true, and now we have to make sure Turkey is protected from this threat in Syria. I’m sympathetic to the YPG problem, and so is the president, quite frankly.”

LMAO. Trump is so sympathetic to the Kurds he gave Turkey a big thumbs up and is just letting them get butchered because there's money to be made in Turkey.

Jesus Tapdancing Christ, Graham. Anyone who can say the bolded with a straight face is just utterly shameless.

Graham was saying “problem” from the perspective of Turkey.  He gives zero s#!ts, as he said.  Therefore, his Sabre rattling to Trump now is hollow...

Amazing how many things she nailed.

“Turkey is at war with the Kurds, America’s allies in the fight against ISIS in Syria. Kurdish insurgent groups are in armed conflict with Turkey, demanding an independent Kurdistan. If Turkey cuts off the Trump Organization’s cash flow from Istanbul, will Trump, who has shown many times how petty and impulsive he can be, allow that to influence how the U.S. juggles the interests of these two critical allies?”

“Given that you’ve already questioned our commitments to NATO allies, what is your answer to this?” Clinton asked in the Sept. 14, 2016 tweet.

The dominoes of trust begin to fall because of Trump's actions.   Israel, now rightfully expresses concerns about

USA support with this president.

JERUSALEM — Israel’s national security does not immediately depend on who controls the border of Turkey and northern Syria, more than 500 miles from its own territory.

Yet President Trump’s abrupt order to withdraw American troops there and abandon Kurdish forces, who have been stalwart American allies against the Islamic State, set off clanging alarm bells among officials in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

And for a simple reason: If such a betrayal could befall the Kurds, Israelis from across the political spectrum are suddenly asking, what prevents the same from befalling another staunch American ally?

“A knife in our back,” screamed the headline over a column by Shimon Shiffer in Yediot Ahronot, Israel’s biggest mainstream paper. “The conclusion we draw needs to be unequivocal: Trump has become unreliable for Israel. He can no longer be trusted,” the column read.

Mr. Trump has insisted that the withdrawal is not a betrayal. On Tuesday morning, he tweeted, “We may be in the process of leaving Syria, but in no way have we Abandoned the Kurds, who are special people and wonderful fighters.”

But in Israel, many see America’s withdrawal, which could expose the Kurds to a Turkish attack, as desertion.

“I feel like a Kurd today,” Dore Gold, a former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations and top foreign-policy official under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said in an interview.

Israeli fears have nothing to do with Turkey, and everything to do with Iran.

Israel under Mr. Netanyahu has depended heavily on the Trump administration’s support in confronting Tehran over its nuclear ambitions and over its expansionist moves in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen. Israel believes Iran’s long-term strategy is to base missiles in those countries that can threaten Israel, as a deterrent to a pre-emptive strike — whether by Israel or the United States — on an Iranian nuclear weapons project.
