WyoHusker56
I learned that they need to change the rules for injuries. This is so blatant. Quote Link to comment

Still shouldn't ignore the majority of Husker fans who don't want to fire Frost at all, but are smart enough to see that some of the problems on this team are the same problems that would be attributable to ineffective coaching on every other team. Or we can just stop complaining and wait for the 5 star recruits to roll in. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Several other teams are graduating their best players, and we get nearly everyone back, most for 2 or more years. Wandale is a treasure - a real difference-maker, and the fact that Frost got him here from Kentucky shows at least more than a modicum of recruiting prowess. Luke is also a tough kid. The Bad: Special Teams, week after week. Wyatt had a few good returns, but all in all, not so good. Stovall and Reimer hustle and hit, but our kicking NEEDS to get better. The Ugly: This was the first game I've watched live in the Frost Era, and it's obvious that half our defensive problems are alignment-related. At least a DOZEN times, we had guys not knowing where they were supposed to be when the ball was snapped. After a bye week, this is simply inexcusable. We had linebackers trying to cover their best receiver on deep crossing routes, Honus fell asleep and the TE ran right by him down the seam for a big play, and several others just like it. One time, Garrett Nelson was matched up one-on-one with their best slot guy. Really? Come ON, Chinander, it's getting embarrassing. The run defense was stout, until when it really mattered, and they folded like a cheap suit. If you want to see a disturbing quote from Frost. Go check out page 16 of the 2020 Coaching Staff thread. Chin has had these results for the past 5 years...check our 2 and the 3 previous at UCF. His scheme bleeds points...and he has shown NO ability to adjust mid game. If our DL played against our OL, our DL would look awesome...sadly, it would be the same if our OL played against our DL Quote Link to comment

You may want to actually watch the game or at least not black out during the game. They ran it twice as much as they threw it Saturday. Of all the things to complain about at least be correct. 1 1 Quote Link to comment
TGHusker
I learned that we cannot trust Coach Speak at the beginning of the season even if we like the coach. I have some questions. Learning sometimes is best when we ask questions: Are we really this bad? Was the cupboard this empty? Did Mike Riley destroy this program? Is our record this year on MR? Did we over estimate our current coaches ability and are we giving them an undeserved pass? Or are most of us fans, just too impatient for the ship to be righted? Quote Link to comment

Just because you question (or criticize if you will) the coach and staff doesn’t mean you’re calling for any or all of them to be fired. Just that you are questioning some of the decisions. 1 Quote Link to comment

TGHusker
I also learned the following: Bo won 9 games every year Bo had descent recruits base on his record Mike Riley had one good year wt Bo's recruits. Riley had 2 losing years with Bo's recruits MR was a terrible coach (but nice guy) SF is a very good coach based on past history Riley's recruits are now the upper classes of SF's team SF has a hard time overcoming the very poor recruiting done by Mike Riley. Recruiting the right 'Joes' to fit into your system is paramount to having success with that system. SF needs more time to get his 'Joes' into his system. On the side, SF was successful at UCF because the former coach had play makers that also fit Frost's system. 4 Quote Link to comment
