Purdue? Purdon’t

Recommended Posts

Boilers are plodding along at 2 wins, 6 losses. They were just soundly defeated by the Rising Illini who up until lately rarely ever beat anybody soundly.

Huskers have 4 wins, 3 of which coming against teams from the State of Illinois. The bad news is the Huskers aren’t playing anyone else from Illinois for the rest of the year.

Here’s a quote from last weekend: “It was a bad performance. "It’s something where we have to do a lot of soul searching and figure out how hard we want to fix it. We got exposed in many areas. It was a bad day."

Who said this? It might sound like Coach Frost, but it wasn’t. This was said by Jeff Brohm, Purdue head coach, after the loss to Illinois.

It looks like Coach Frost and Brohm have a lot in common these days. They would have a lot to talk about and that would be worth listening in on.

These are two proud programs that look a lot like each other lately. There’s going to be a football field full of aggravated and anxious coaches and players. Saturday’s game can be called the Gaining Some Self-Respect Bowl.

The greater drama is in Lincoln. What’s really going on between the Husker coaches and players?
