*** 2019 Game 9 "Expert" Picks: Nebraska at Purdue ***

Go to the casino throw down coin on Purdue. NU won’t find a pass rush, a 3-3-5, 4-2-5, or any other stellar defense that knows what it’s doing. Do you think they will play better on the road, make an adjustment, or come out of half and play like their hair is on fire?

Worst case scenario, NU wins and you don’t care about the loss of a few bucks.

It's gonna be the most exciting game of the week, going back and forth until it comes down to the last play....a statue of liberty flea flicker hail Mary hook n ladder! No really...it will! Don't turn it off and sweep the garage, stay and watch all the commercials. 145% chance it'll be exciting!

Plummer was on, throwing for 420 yards and three scores against Maryland, and pushing Iowa with 327 yards.

This is what really concerns me the most.  Our defense has a way of making opposing QB's look like Heisman candidates, unless we somehow make a miracle happen on D, they are likely going to score at will on us.  Can we outscore the opponent this week unlike last week?

If Moore is a 100% go I'm really struggling to think of a scenario where Purdue doesn't throw for at least 350.  With Moore, Hopkins and now David Bell Purdue has 3 guys who can put extreme pressure on a defense.  Shoot, even if Moore doesn't play I have no idea how Nebraska stops Bell which is particularly cruel because NU fans are going to get a front row seat to the exact type of WR that Nebraska is currently missing from their roster that would thrive in Frost's system.  A 6'2 stud that can stretch a defense, make the tough intermediate catch and also beat a DB with a jump ball.

I am interested (but also worried) to see how we try and handle Hopkins. He had some big catches on us last year, and we really haven't faced any good TEs this year. He's probably the best we'll play all year (at least as a receiver), and we really don't have the personnel for me to feel good about the matchup.

But I still think we win. Plummer is very inconsistent, and they're running game is statistically worse than Northwestern's. Karlaftis will be a problem on their dline, but their other potential difference makers are out.

As of yesterday, Brohm said Moore, "Still has a ways to go" in terms of his return. Plus the line, for all the odds folks, has gone up to -4 in NUs favor.

That smacks more of gamesmanship than it does an insightful look into Moore's status to be honest...especially coupled with Frost's answer to how Martinez looked in practice yesterday.

I'm betting that Moore is available and we'll see him, but in a limited capacity.

You could very well be right on both counts.
