2019 College Football Playoff Rankings

Georgia actually is the team to me that sticks out more than anyone when it comes to SEC bias.  Always ranked really really high only to hardly fall when they lose (Much like 'Bama...) and like clock work they always do just that - lose.  Last year they were somehow ranked #2 until they got lambasted by #13 LSU by 20 points.   Then in the Sugar Bowl they were still somehow ranked #6  (they also had lost to Bama after LSU) only to lose to a 14th ranked 4 loss Texas team in the Sugar Bowl.

The year prior Georgia again was somehow ranked #2 when they got beat by a 4 loss Auburn team by 23 points.  They then lost to Alabama in the Sugar Bowl and ended up being ranked #2 at the end of the season.

The issue is that LSU, Auburn, Bama and Georgia are all generally always ranked fairly high to begin with so the voters naturally weigh the losses to these teams heavily so the same debate applies to all of them as well.  I would love to see these so called 'SEC powers' start scheduling some tougher out of conference games to finally put to rest the BS narrative that has somehow played itself out when it comes to how these teams are ultimately getting/being ranked.

Maybe college football needs Georgia and Alabama to win out and LSU to beat Texas A&M. Then the committee will put 3 SEC teams in the playoff or realize the system is horribly flawed and fix it to be how it should be on the fly by not putting 3 SEC teams in.

If we stick with a 4 team playoff we need a rule that requires the teams to have won their conference, or be an Independent that has a certain SOS. Then the committee won’t be able to keep putting Alabama in.

Im hoping Auburn just takes care of this issue for us. And hopefully Utah takes care of business
