Once again, the narrative doesn't really match the results.  East leads 10-9 with two games to play.

 

West Wins

Wisconsin over Michigan 35-14

Wisconsin over Michigan State 38-0

Purdue over Maryland 40-14

Iowa over Rutgers 30-0

Minnesota over Rutgers 42-7

Minnesota over Maryland 52-10

Minnesota over Penn State 31-26

Illinois over Rutgers 38-10

Illinois over Michigan State 37-34

 

East Wins

Michigan State over Northwestern 31-10

Ohio State over Nebraska 48-7

Ohio State over Northwestern 52-3

Ohio State over Wisconsin 38-7

Penn State over Purdue 35-7

Penn State over Iowa 17-12

Michigan over Iowa 10-3

Michigan over Illinois 42-25

Indiana over Nebraska 38-31

Wow, good stuff Mav! If you to factor in the recruiting rankings where the East far out recruits the West it is closer than it should be. The number one issue since the East West split is how the East has always won the CCG. If OSU is in the CCG again, they will roll whoever they play. But I think Minnesota can give them a run for their money. 

 

In my opinion, the East is more top heavy whereas the West is more balanced. So people claim the East is so much better because they have a few elite teams compared to the West that has a lot more balance among them.
