This recipe is named chicken gravy, but, I am pretty sure I am going to make this gravy for Thanksgiving.  I have another recipe for gravy that sounds good, but, will look at both of them tomorrow when I make my grocery list for Thanksgiving and decide then.  The last thing I want to do is degrease turkey drippings to make gravy!  My feet are killing me by that time lol. I just found this recipe!

1/2 C. Butter

1/2 C. Self Rising Flour

4 C. Chicken Broth

1/3 C. Heavy Cream

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/2 tsp. Black Pepper

Pinch of Cayenne Pepper.

Parsley to Sprinkle over Gravy when Served

***I am not a huge fan of parsley so would keep that out!

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 2 minutes. Gradually whisk in chicken broth. Reduce heat to low and cook and stir until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, 4-6 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, and season with salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper.
