KC Sker
Coach Solich is on the cusp of becoming the all time winningest coach in MAC history. He's got his squad playing tough against BG tonight and would clench the record with a win. I always thought we did frank a little dirty when he left, or was shown the door to be more accurate. Glad to see he has found such success in his post Husker gig. Way to go coach! 3 1 Quote Link to comment
I am I
It’s pretty ironic after one 7-7 season, then back 9+ the next year he wasn’t given a little more time, considering where we are now. He certainly wouldn’t be as bad as Callahan or Reilly Everyone has their theory...off field, recruiting, “old fashioned” v “new football”, etc. he has continued to win, probly where he was best suited to win tho. Good for him 3 Quote Link to comment
lo country
I liked Frank. Thought he needed to let go of some staff to save his job (which he did) and thought he deserved more time. I also think had Carl Crawford come, it might have been different......Hind sight I guess..... 2 Quote Link to comment

MLB 51
Didn't he have off field issues that were the bigger reason for him being fired? 2 Quote Link to comment

Pretty sure it's well known frank liked the sauce; there were also some unsubstantiated rumors floating around about inappropriate relationships but idk if that got him fired. Probably more so had to do with the fact that Steve Pederson was....i mean is a complete, incompetant @$$ clown. 4 1 1 Quote Link to comment

knapplc
Crazy that with all those D1 offers Frank is still at Ohio. But congratulations to him. He's a Husker through and through. Pushup champ of the 80s and 90s, that's for sure. 1 Quote Link to comment

NUance
Quote Football: Solich becomes winningest coach in MAC history Matt Parker Solich holds an overall career record of 169-100, counting six seasons at Nebraska. His 74 MAC wins place him second behind Deromedi’s 90. Solich holds a record above .500 against each team in the MAC East with his most impressive margin against rival Miami. LINK Yeah, makes you wonder where we'd be if we had stuck with Frank. Props to Frank for reaching this milestone in the MAC. Quote Link to comment

Sker4Ever
Maybe if Frost brings him back in a consultant roll we can finally break the curse and move on. 2 Quote Link to comment
r06ue1
All I know is we could most certainly have done without the Bill Callahan error (yes, not era). 3 1 1 Quote Link to comment
