End of season wrap up article

Recommended Posts

Here is an article from Parker Gabriel with the journal.  Good sound bites from L Jax and Mo.  Some decent stats about overall production from 2018 to 2019....JD results, run calls percentage etc...Some were Iowa specific and were really disappointing. Amazing ot came down to the last sec FG......D gets props for keeping us in this one IMHO.  A lot to build off of and a lot to learn from...

Spielman had a 39-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter, and his other two catches totaled minus-5. Stoll was targeted six times and had three catches for a grand total of a single yard.

On a similar note, NU got very little going in its horizontal passing game — swing passes, laterals and screens. Those represented eight of Nebraska’s 12 completions on the day and netted only 18 yards (including seven for zero yards or negative), by the Journal Star’s count.

Just now, chamrocck said:

Jackson did play better this season so props to him.  I always liked Mo but his play this year was underwhelming.

Jackson is one guy who definitely improved IMO.  Fisher did a good job with him.  Hard to believe Mo was out of position so much, but led the team in tackles. Great spokesman for NU.  Looking at other teams LB drastically needs to improve.  Unsure who we have on D that is a game changer on any level.  For the record, I think JoJo could be that guy and have "potential" from others.....
