But inquiring minds wants to know: how much rice is consumed at Rice's stadium annually? So, only boiled rice then? leaves out Spanish, all the pilafs, jambalaya, risottos, paella, dirty….. 1 Quote Link to comment

This is myopic all around Transferring and taking transfers is not tampering, that's not what Frost was talking about. Tampering is when another school's coach reaches out to a player before they've entered the portal, which is still prohibited. 6 1 Quote Link to comment

Mavric
Another way of saying "not getting good advice". The top numbers are Power 5 transfers - only 26.5% stayed in the Power 5. Nearly half didn't even stay in the FBS. Bottom numbers are FBS transfers - only 37.8% stayed in FBS. 1 1 Quote Link to comment

Wow....and this many kids still think transferring is going to get them to greener pastures. At some point, these statistics have got to start setting in. Quote Link to comment

Ehh, this leaves out some important details. In particular, how many of them became starters? Being G5 starter, or even FCS, is generally better than riding the pine at a P5 school with no clear path to becoming a starter. I mean sure, some kids will walk on at their favorite P5 school rather than taking a lower division scholly, but that's generally more of a 'heart' decision than 'head', at least from athletics standpoint. 2 1 Quote Link to comment

This x1000. Like if you transfer from say Syracuse currently and wind up at Buffalo or something are we really thinking that’s supposed to be a huge dropoff? It’s easy to group schools as P5/G5/FCS but the reality is theres a major major difference in bring at Alabama versus Wake Forest versus Texas Tech versus Michigan versus Oregon State etc. Just because you’re “P5” or “G5” or “FCS” doesn’t automatically mean you’re a peer with all the other schools in that designation. The other thing is how many of these kids are just giving up football altogether? How many are entering and returning to their original schools? I’m not saying kids aren’t getting “bad” advice but I don’t think the original graphic does enough to lead to the conclusion you’re getting “bad” advice. If you are a FL kid and come to NU for 2 years and leave to go back to a FL school because you just miss being close to your family but you go to say FIU is that really “bad” advice? Every situation is unique and different at the end of the day. 1 Quote Link to comment

Savage Husker
Why not dig deeper into FBS scholarship athletes during their HS days, those who play out of district and/or transfer high schools. Would be interesting to see that correlation 1 Quote Link to comment

I bet these numbers are not necessarily historically outstanding, but now it’s publicized and the media has spun it sour. Quote Link to comment

Toe
Wiley was their QB for most of the game, but he threw a Luke-esque 3 INTs today. Luke himself was 5/10 for 75 today. 1 Quote Link to comment
