But you’re smart enough to know the problem is more nuanced than that. I don't think it is a problem. I am all for making as much money as you can when you can and really by almost any means possible. Link to comment

As long as there's upward mobility with regards to income (which America certainly has), income inequality is a non issue. 1. It's not a zero sum game, & 2. The same group of people don't occupy the top 1%. People move in and out of the top 1% frequently. 1 Link to comment

Dont we already have private prisons? Isnt that why we have the highest number of incarcerations in the world? 4 Link to comment

Of course in both of these cases they are heavily subsidized by government to reduce the risk and make them profitable. I wonder why... Link to comment
knapplc
Gotta love this Pollyanna fantasy where businesses will work to the benefit of the people if we just get rid of government. Because entities whose sole purpose is to make a profit SURELY won't screw over the public with monopolistic and/or predatory practices. 5 1 Link to comment

Nobody with any sense makes that claim... the difference is, if you don't like how a business operates, you can choose not to do business with them. That choice does not exist with government. And to turn your statement back to you: Gotta love this Pollyanna fantasy where governments work to the benefit of the people and not the politicians that accept bribes and funnel taxpayer money to themselves. 1 Link to comment

You don't have to live in the US or any other country that has public roads. How is that choice any different than not doing business with a corporation? Link to comment
