Ticket sales lag behind last year's pace. Which is understandable, since everyone's confidence in the Frost Era has taken a tumble (whether big or small varies).

Early spring game ticket sales strong, but behind 2019 pace

Nebraska is assured a well-attended Red-White Spring Game on April 18. Ticket sales thus far, however, have not been quite as hot as the first two spring games under head coach Scott Frost.

As of early Thursday afternoon, NU had sold 53,500 tickets to the scrimmage, which comes at the end of spring practices, according to assistant athletic director for tickets Holly Adam.

Tickets first went on sale Tuesday morning for season ticket holders and Wednesday morning to the general public.

A year ago, tickets for the event went on sale on a similar Tuesday/Wednesday setup and, by Wednesday evening, only 7,000 tickets remained. Conservatively, that means somewhere around 75,000 total had been sold by the same mark last year. The school announced an official sellout Saturday.

It's kinda surprising that we've sold 53,500 tickets already. Nebraska led the nation in Spring Game attendance in each of Frost's first two years of coaching, and the tickets sold so far would put Nebraska in the top ten of last year's games nationwide.

Ya, the bloom is off the rose, fan excitement will have to be earned back. Plus the teams aren't set-up to be competitive, I'd like to see some good-on-good for at least a half.

A two drink minimum?  Wait!  what are the cheerleaders wearing?

Speaking of attire, and since this is a practice game for the players..Why not make this a practice Blackkout for the student fans?

To either get them to see ahead of time how futile it really looks, or maybe even help get it right for a real game?

Might ease the bickering between the age groups on social media.
