Visceral reaction is I’d rather get a home game with every B1G school than the s#!t I have to go watch in November and December. 
 

Assuming we play 31 games that gives us five non-conference games.

  This would kill all the tournaments these teams go to in nov and dec. A lot teams use these as bonding trips.

And there are the Gavitt Games and ACC/B1G Challenge which would be one or two of those. On an annual basis. If you do a MTE (which every team does) you typically get 3, sometimes 4 games. 

 

Theoretically the schedule could be:

 

26 B1G

3 MTE

1 B1G/ACC

1 Gavitt 

 

and the schedule is already done...
