Fits the color scheme, the mascot is already a wolf, the fans were called The Wolfpack back in the day. If the Chiefs end up changing though it will probably be keeping the Chiefs name, but pivoting to firefighter symbols. Apparently a KC fire chief from the 1800s was a pretty important figure in his time and made a lot of innovations in the industry. Quote Link to comment
Omaha-Husker
I like having Brett Veach as GM. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
Still no clear plan from the commissioner's office in regards to player health and safety but when you are literally the worst commissioner in NFL history let alone one of the worst commissioners in all of professional sports history it's just 'business' as usual... During Covid-19 no less. Quote Link to comment
GSG
Could 'Sentinels' be Washington's new nickname? Would fans be happy with it? Quote Some internet sleuthing led to endless jokes about Keanu Reeves and “The Replacements” on Wednesday morning. Washington’s NFL team is still searching for a nickname after retiring the old one after years of controversy. Trademark issues might be holding up an announcement of a new name. Then there was an unexpected candidate revealed. A Reddit user found that the same entity that runs “Redskins.com” had registered the domain “DCSentinels.com.” Sentinels was the name of the fictional team in the fictional 2000 movie “The Replacements,” starring Reeves. Hence, the jokes. “Sentinels” was trending on Twitter on Wednesday morning. Quote Link to comment
suh_fan93
No matter what you knew it wasn't going to be some incredible name that people would instantly like. I'm still glad they changed it. Quote Link to comment
