Well I'm glad I'm not the only one puzzled by this question. I wonder if it has something to do with immunity. I was reading that people that live in that area were tested and have protection against some SARS type viruses likely due to the close contact. Also I would guess early cases go undetected because (from what I've read) the virus is weak when it first makes zoonotic transmission it still has some adjusting to do to thrive in humans.

I would rather be in school because it is easier in terms of teaching.  But just doing summer school I can tell you that it is already a huge pain in the a$$ as far as yelling at them to keep their masks on, to stay away from each other, getting emails from parents that are mad about masks and social distancing.
