Where do you find reports from the advisory committees?

Here is article on the CDC advisory committee override. I did not try the CDC website to look for the advisory committee report. It does list their conclusion on people over 65, 50 to 60 at risk.

FDA emergency use info:

So you're not relying on the advisory committee itself, but on the media reporting on them?

The last link, from the CDC, would come from the administration controlled by the Director. I'm surprised you offered that as a source you trust.

You asked a question and I politely attempted to answer it. Never said anything about whether I trusted it. I read media articles from the Times (left) and FOX (right) since I do not trust our media. Get both sides.

Right, we're all being polite. I'm just trying to find out where people find sources they trust.  Thanks!

The override was simply to allow more people to get the booster shot based on their occupational risk and not just age and medical risk (link):

Quote

Hours before, the agency’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices endorsed giving third Pfizer shots to people 65 and older and nursing home residents as well as people 18 to 64 years old with underlying medical conditions like pregnancy, HIV, cancer, diabetes, obesity or heart disease.

However, Walensky reversed a decision that was rejected by the panel Thursday evening. The panel voted 9-6 against giving booster shots to adults at a higher risk of exposure to the virus due to their workplace or institutional setting.

A 9-6 vote isn't the strongest of recommendations by the committee. The vote for 65+ and at-risk medical conditions was unanimous. The vote was 13-2 for the 50-65 age group. (link)

In what might've been the most contentious deliberation, the committee said people 18 to 65 who work in a job or other setting where they are at high risk of exposure to COVID-19 should not yet be allowed to receive an extra Pfizer dose.

Committee member Dr. Matthew Zahn, a pediatric infectious diseases specialist, expressed concern about the difficulty of implementing such an action. Another member, Institute for Health Research investigator Dr. Matthew Daley, said he was worried that the potential guidance would be "broad enough that it could limit access to other groups."

The debate doesn't appear to be about safety or effectiveness but rather logistics.

So why is this an issue?

Exactly.  If the booster is safe for our most at risk, logic would tell you it's also safe for the rest of the population.  But somehow allowing more people access to a booster based on their own situation is conspiratorial

It still amazes me that people are willing to lose their jobs over fears of sticking a needle in your arm that have been promoted by misinformation campaigns.

And travel nurses are lining up to head to NY to make 5,000-10,000 a week for a 3 month contract.

Pfizer booster is out, well it is out for us frontline heros, not sure if you normies can get it yet.

Don't even need to go to NYC. Travel nurses are making bank everywhere. I know some making upwards of 80/hour in Omaha.

Yeah it is crazy right now!

I know CNA"s making 50 an hour.

In case you were wondering, even though I am a frontline worker and to most of you a "hero" for doing what I do, I have not got a pay increase.

Last fall I worked in Covid units for my regular pay. Luckily I had covid before they plopped me in there. IDK any healthcare workers that got a pay increase. The insane travel nurse pay has been going on for some time, COVID capacity issues just made it 1000x worse. My wife and I are both in positions where we could travel and make 3x our current rates, probably gonna be our retirement plan once our kids are old enough.

But we're sending thoughts and prayers though.

Yeah, do it!

I have a friend and he teaches and his wife is a nurse.  I have told him that over the summer she should travel nurse for 2 months and just make bank.

But then he would be left home with his two kids and drink himself to death...so it is a catch 22
