Post your contact info, I'll have them contact you.  Fair enough?

By the way, unless you just totally read onlny one set of news sources, there are a huge number of highly respected and experienced communicative disease specialists who have also said that masks are for the sick, not the healthy and can introduce different health risks if worn by those that are healthy.  But that would require open minded research on your part and would go against your view of the world.  And NO, I won't post links.  You have the internet, look it up.

Stop your irresponsible posts please.  Although I would bet most here are smart enough to ignore them.  You obviously haven’t a clue about how viruses spread.  So if you want to be selfish and irresponsible, fine.  But keep it to yourself and all your pretend “experts “.

You assume much, and everyone knows what assuming leads to.  I understand that you have one belief, and I have another, and we both have myriads of experts that agree with each side.  Live long and prosper, as I already have.

I have things I'm critical of Ricketts with.  But, I think he's done a pretty good job with this.  He kept the state open, for the most part, and we are 32nd state in the nation in deaths per million.

I realize you prefaced this with deaths per million but if he was accomplishing anything special, wouldn’t Nebraska rank about 38th or better based on their population? Seems the lower the population, the easier it should be to swing for par. I’d say he’s done a below par job.

As an example, Colorado has had 525 cases per 100k and Nebraska has 902.7 per 100k. I couldn’t find a rank list but clicking most every state on the CDC Covid map,, I only found 2 states (Louisiana and New York) that had more cases per 100k than Nebraska. And Nebraska is markedly worse in that regard as compared to every state they border.  I don’t think he deserves any credit for how he’s handled it.

My brother and cousin are both physicians.  They and their colleagues all advise against healthy people wearing masks.  I'll go with thos I know that have zero political incentives.  I'll go my way, and you can...stay out of it.  :-)

My dad, grandpa, sister, cousin and uncle are all physicians. They say your brother and cousin are embarrassments to healthcare and should turn in their licenses because their advice is likely to get people killed. All their colleagues agree.

They have zero political incentives and are just interested in keeping people healthy and alive.

Kinda got me thinking about how people seem to be always complaining about younger generations being all about "me, me, me," but it seems to be the opposite.

This sums it up.  It is "all about me" and that's why some identify with a President that is "all about me".  It's like a pandemic of narcissism has hit..

"All their colleagues agree..."   it is unfounded generalizations like that which drive me crazy.  You list 5 physicians (I, unlike others, won't question the truth of that statement regarding them being physicians)...and to you that give you the unfounded confidence to say that "ALL their colleagues agree".  So if I find one infectious disease expert that says masks for healthy people are not advised, you'd be proven wrong.  Just one.  But I have no interest in proving you or anyone else wrong.  Your logic is flawed no doubt, but you have every right to your opinion.  I fought to help you maintain that right.  Express your opinions and wear a mask and good on you.  I'll express my opinion and not wear one.

Opinions can be wrong. Usually that isn't a big deal, except when it involves spreading incorrect and dangerous information. I'll take your word that you actually have relatives who are doctors but I reserve great skepticism that any doctor worth a damn is claiming that wearing a mask is I'll advised for seemingly healthy people. Maybe if that person doesn't use the mask correctly or mishandles it thereby possibly causing an increased chance of becoming infected. Maybe. The problem here is there is absolutely no evidence, none, that obviously reducing the amount of spittle exiting a person and blocking at least some of the airborne things a person could inhale can possibly do anything to harm a person wearing a mask. Pure common sense should indicate that to you. So I (and many others) are justified in thinking that you're either making this up or your physician relatives don't know their a$$ from a hole in the ground. If you want to continue to make this claim and not be attacked for it, provide a shred a scientific evidence, something, anything that supports your ludicrous claim.

I don't often request links but in this case I believe it is necessary. If you can't or won't provide any proof, it's not a good look at all. It only proves that you really have no idea of what you speak. Sorry but "my so and so physician relatives" is worth jack squat. And so you know, I'm pretty darned sure Knapp's post espousing even more relative doctors was intended to make fun of your similar claim. I won't tell you to put up or shutup, but it wouldn't be a bad idea.

Yeah, but those don't count.  It seems to only matter if you attend a wedding or funeral...Haha

I think after seeing how quickly health experts abandoned their stance on the importance of social distancing more people are just done listening to them now.

I just drove by a group of about 15 people playing kickball (adults) in the park...they had to hold a beer in one hand while playing...no masks at all...also no athletes on the field at all.
