A story about selfishness.

My wife and I are in a pseudo-quarantine right now awaiting the test results of our friends' 18-month old son who was exposed to coronavirus. We got together with them a couple of times this past weekend (socially distanced, but still in close proximity for extended periods of time) before they had any idea he may have been exposed.

So, how was he exposed, you might ask?

Because their child goes to a daycare where, last week, another family's son wasn't feeling too well and showing mild symptoms that may be related to coronavirus. That family decided to get him tested, but still allowed their son to return to the daycare, even after he had been tested. On Monday, this family AGAIN allowed their son to return to the daycare. Later that morning, they received a positive test result, called the daycare and picked up their son, but not before exposing all of the children and staff to the virus for several days.

Fortunately, it sounds like everyone in my friends' family is doing fine even though they haven't received their own results yet. But, still...

What. The Actual.

Update: our friends' son tested negative.

But, those other parents still suck.
