Have to say, I'm just as excited for the basketball season as the football season. We have potential to be greatly improved this year and actually make some noise in the conference.

the team will be much much improved and we will start to see the types of guys Hoiberg is capable of bringing in here and just how fun basketball can be when we're running his up tempo highly efficient offense.

Unfortunately, the B1G may be the deepest league in the country. Will be fun to watch as every game should be a rock fight but from an overall record standpoint it definitely hurts.

Oh, I completely understand what a meat grinder the Big Ten is going to be.  I'm saying with the guys Hoiberg has brought in and the type of play he wants to use, I think we can at least be competitive in games and win our fair share.  IF...the team comes together and plays up to their potential.

I think Hoiberg is a good enough coach to get them to that point.  It should be a fun season to watch.

Nebraska: Eight of the Cornhuskers’ 13 scholarship players are transfers. Sound familiar? Just like he did at Iowa State, Fred Hoiberg is counting on imports from other programs to move the needle in Lincoln. Nebraska should get immediate contributions from two JUCO transfers — Teddy Allen and Lat Mayen — while former Western Kentucky guard Dalano Banton is a unique prospect at 6-8 thanks to his versatility. The Cornhuskers won seven games last season in their first year under Hoiberg. What type of jump can be expected in in 20-21? With the recent addition of Pitt transfer Trey McGowens, Nebraska should have enough to play in some sort of postseason tournament in 2021.

It doesn't appear the the CBS Sports team has much confidence in the Huskers.  No one picked them above 13th.

That's fine.  This really means nothing as to how the season is actually going to play out.

13. Nebraska: Fred Hoiberg's debut season at the helm of Nebraska's program went about as poorly as possible. The Huskers went 7-25 and lost their final 17 (!) games to end the season. In the process, the only statistical category they led the country in was ... the rate in which their shots were blocked. But there's hope. Pitt transfer Trey McGowens is eligible immediately and should slot in as a starter in the backcourt. And then there's transfers Teddy Allen, Dalano Banton, Derrick Walker and Shamiel Stevenson. Hoiberg and Nebraska's struggles last season could lead to successes this season with enough fresh blood to infuse this program with a higher level of talent.

Dalano Banton, Nebraska: A 6-8 point guard with an incredible basketball IQ, Banton oozes versatility each and every time he takes the floor. After showing glimpses of promise during his one year at Western Kentucky, Banton should thrive in Fred Hoiberg’s five-out offense.

Just got an email from the Athletic Department saying they are not selling season tickets this year.  Tickets will be sold on a single-game basis with season ticket "holders" first "if fans are permitted".

So apparently they still aren't getting much for answers as far as what is going to be allowed.  Season starts three weeks from today.
