I hate saying this because I want Nebraska to play football as bad as anyone . The fact 26 players from a game last week have tested positive this week did we really want our guys playing Wisconsin. This is where Big 10 not having any built in bye weeks or not playing a non conference game screws things up . But us not playing Wisconsin probably is best to keep all of our guys able to play rest of season .

The football team currently mirroring their state as far as how they're handling Covid.  Now somehow the Illini are sick with it.

Once again I say frickin' Wiscy...

wisconsin loses 12 players and cancels their game.   ilinois loses 14 and is playing their game.

Wisconsin didn't play because they would of had to play their 4th string QB, and would of been without their head coach. I think they thought they'd lose, and a " no contest " sounded good to them.

Summary of this weekend's action from ESPN: "Four of the top five teams won't play. There are no matchups between top-25 teams. Nine of the 13 ranked teams playing are favored by a touchdown or more. Half the SEC is in contact-tracing protocols."

UCLA and Cal playing each other on Sunday, after both teams had their game for this weekend cancelled by their opponent (Utah and Arizona State, respectively). Wonder if the Big Ten would allow that, since it would at least be in-conference? (Probably not if we were one of the teams that would be playing, lol.) Would suck to have such a short time to prep for the substitute opponent, but I guess both teams would have the same problem.

I hadn't heard that.  I felt bad for Cal because both of their games had been cancelled.  I'm glad the Pac 12 allowed those teams to play each other.

Were going to end up undefeated!

I think given the terrible schedule that the B10 gave the conference, this is a pretty good plan although why was it kept a secret for a week?
