seaofred92
Rivals confirms Nebraska has offered https://stockrisers.com/2020/05/12/four-star-junior-johnathan-lawson-talks-recruitment-call-from-penny-hardaway/ Quote This year, Johnathan Lawson bolstered his recruitment and created a name for himself after winning Tennessee’s Gatorade Player of the year. The brother of Oregon’s Chandler Lawson, Johnathan has made a name for himself and leads a national recruitment. His brothers squad, Oregon, became one of Lawson’s first scholarship offers extended this Spring. “Alabama, Vanderbilt, Iowa State, Mizzou, Tulane, LSU, Arkansas, Indiana, Nebraska, Syracuse and USC, are also involved,” Lawson told Stockrisers.com. 1 Quote Link to comment

seaofred92
His family history with Memphis’ program is interesting. The dad was on staff at Memphis under Josh Pastner. When Tubby Smith took over, he moved the dad from an assistant to off the bench/operations. Then the dad was let go. Two of the older brothers were on the Memphis team and then transferred to Kansas when the situation with their dad occurred, the other brother then chose Oregon. Last year one of the Lawsons graduate transferred to Tulane. So I’d say Tulane, KU, Oregon are probably in a good spot if they make a push based off previous events. Quote Link to comment

He will get 95% of the Memphis kids he wants. He’s an idol there. Plus Mike Miller is a phenomenal recruiter. Quote Link to comment

seaofred92
Quote Lawson might be the first piece of evidence of that shift in philosophy. But he’s a terrific player. I don’t believe Memphis would be able to find a more productive player than Lawson in the Class of 2021. I suspect he will wind up committing to Memphis sooner rather than later. https://theathletic.com/1817830/2020/05/15/memphis-mailbag-on-the-deandre-williams-transfer-next-years-lineup-and-more/?source=user_shared_article Quote Link to comment
