The George Floyd/Black Lives Matter protests and police conduct

Recommended Posts

Facebook is full of Trump apologists angrily demanding that Blacks just comply politely with police so all this unpleasantness goes away. Blue Lives Matter isn't so much about defending cops as it is discrediting Black Lives Matter. None of the people posting fraudulent pro-cop, anti-Black memes think they're racist.

Looking for an appropriate response I came across this video. It's already four years old and the situation has only gotten worse, but the case it makes is pretty damning:

i am a bit confused.   1 person said he came out firing at the cops.....but the police didn't say he fired at them.   if he fired he certainly got what he deserved IMO.  he stepped into the deep end of the pool when he started shooting.

Yeah, everything about that was strange. Including the fact that he shot/killed a guy who approached him carrying bear spray...?

Seem like a lot of unknown information.

Not a great guy though:

According to Baker County District Attorney Greg Baxter, based on a police probable cause statement, Reinoehl was accused of driving his vehicle over 100 mph while racing his 17-year-old-son, who was driving another car. Reinoehl appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance and had his 11-year-old daughter with him in his car, the statement said. Police say they found a concealed firearm in his car but that he didn’t have a concealed carry permit, Baxter said.
