Protestors in Downtown Des Moines asked officers to take a knee with them for 2 minutes and they'd then leave and abide by the 9pm curfew that was enacted today. Officers agreed and it was 2 minutes o

Welcome to why nobody knew.             Sorry....couldn't resist.

Saying "I'm your Huckleberry" over and over again to no one in particular.

Completely misleading headline. Did the Sheriff lie? Looks like it. Was it racially motivated? Hard to tell. But, the man was not "arrested and interrogated for sport"...

You are correct that Doucette got the "arrested and interrogated for sport" part wrong, but the main point is that the cop lied which is true.

It’s coming from Greg Doucette.  Did you expect him to accurately portray a story that dealt with police?

Did the cop lie and get caught lying?

Very well could be the case. Was it for sport? Not likely.  Was it racially profiling.  Probably not, but who really knows.
Seems like the Sheriff didn’t need to do what he did.

And they're really deadly if you don't put your full weight through your knee on someone's neck for 9 minutes and 29 seconds.

You must have missed or ignored the testimony of a witness who disputes the false narrative you've fallen for:

"During cross examination, defense attorney Eric Nelson offered for the first time a series of photographs from Officer Thomas Lane's body camera. Mercil agreed they show Chauvin's knee and shin on Floyd's shoulder area. The images offer four moments within a five-minute span.

After viewing those photos, Nelson asked Mercil, "Does this appear to be a neck restraint?" He responded with "no.""

That's what is called a fact.

It appears that we agree, in that those drugs are really, really deadly in the levels that they were found in Floyd's system.

He died from a lack of oxygen and the restraint according to people who know what they are talking about but don't let justice get in your way of a good lie session.

How often are people treated like this by police but we don't hear about it because the person doesn't die? This should never happen.

Why would it even matter if it was an angry mob? If they thought he was murdering someone they were in the right to do whatever they could to stop him including assaulting him.

Did the people who "people who know what they are talking about" also describe how putting a knee on a person's shoulder "cuts off oxygen?

Do you know what else causes people to die from lack of oxygen? Having meth and fentanyl at over twice the lethal limit in your system, per people who actually know what they are talking about. Apparently he had so many drugs in his system that another person in the car with him that day wouldn't testify because he himself was worried about being charged with manslaughter for giving Floyd the drugs.

Your credibility continues to plummet from an already deep hole.  Not sure how that's possible but...

Once again do you have anything to back this up?

IIRC a coroner's report that he had lethal amounts of illicit narcotics in his system.  I also did find this:

"The opioid epidemic has led to the creation of a new term: Toxic Brain Injury. This type of brain injury occurs from prolonged substance misuse and nonfatal overdose. This encompasses two forms of brain injury resulting from a lack of oxygen – hypoxic and anoxic brain injury. Hypoxic brain injury occurs when the brain does not receive enough oxygen, while anoxic brain injury occurs when the brain does not receive any oxygen. In these situations, the amount of time the brain is without adequate oxygen dictates the severity of injury."

Any decent, empathetic, criticially thinking person knows for a fact that was murder. Every witness knew it was murder and was yelling at the cops to get off. Its on video for the world to see. Im too lazy right now to look to see if any polls were taken, but if we did now, 90%+ would say its murder. And the 10% that dont would 100% be republican. The jury will find him guilty because its right there for them to see with their own eyes. How do we have people on this board that are so far gone that this is up for debate? What has happened to this country to get us to this point?

George Floyd might be a drug addicted, criminal, but that is NOT a death sentence. Hell, most people on this board probably have a family member or a friend who have been or are addicted to drugs. Some may have been or are addicted themselves. Its terrible. They need help. But killing them is not the answer.

You call out the corruption on the democratic side and I agree with you. I think corruption is something progressives and conservatives can agree on needs to end. Joe Biden has been corrupt his whole career taking bribes from big money and voting their way. Hunter Biden being on the board of Barisma was corruption. But if you call out this and couldnt see the obvious corruption with Trump and his kids, then you are blind as a bat and a hack. Stories have broke for the last four years of how corrupt this family is from taking money away from kids with cancer for their own personal gain to just this week Trump stealing money from his most loyal followers by making the default setting weekly recurring payments. My god, how much more of a scumbag can someone be before people stop following him like hes some sort of god. Get off the fox news propganda and open your eyes to reality!
