Police Reform

Recommended Posts

None of the actual progress being made will result in much of anything if we can't reform qualified immunity and strip the unions of some of their power. Those have got to be the two primary prongs of attack imo. Then, training/management reform (make it harder to be a cop, but give cops more support for managing PTSD/stress/conflict resolution/etc) and a rethinking of what officials need to be inserted into what scenarios.

Also, not sure if this falls under qualified immunity or not, but people need to be given a much easier and fair system of engaging officers or the city in civil suits, and protesting unjust tickets/fines/etc.

The system is designed so effectively to make it impossible for a citizen to get justice against the state, because every level can blame other levels and dissipate the energy of an accusation.

Also, prison reform and abolish for profit prisons. We way past time fam.
