Salsa/Pic

Recommended Posts

I just found this salsa recipe.  I will
give it a try and hope it turns out as good as the review!  I like hot salsa so I may have to use more jalapeños or Serrano Peppers.

Salsa:

1-(28-oz.)-Can Whole Tomatoes
2 Medium-Sized Onion
1 Jalapeno-(If You Want A Spicier Salsa, A Serrano Pepper Can Be Used)
1-1/2 Cups Roughly Chopped Cilantro-(It’s About 2 Fistfuls)
3/4 Cup Fresh  Lime Juice
1 T. Sugar
1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
2 Tsp. Salt
1/2 Tsp. Black Pepper
Tortilla Chips

In a blender or food processor, add the can of tomatoes with the juice.

Roughly chop the onion in big chunks and add it.

Roughly chop two fistfuls of cilantro and add it.

Cut the stem off the jalapeño and chop the rest of it and add it along with the seeds.

Squeeze limes until you get 3/4 cup of juice and add it.

Add sugar, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Blend until smooth.

Serve with Tortilla Chips.

Serve any leftovers in the fridge for 2-3 days.
