Biden would have been a two term president had he ran in 2015 instead of Clinton. Might even been a very successful president and this country wouldn't be in this charade now. Clinton and the Russia Gate BS has really hurt us as a nation and for that reason Clinton needs to stay the heck out of this race. Kamala & a strong moderate VP (Vance is a far right) can win this but it will be an uphill climb for them. I say this even though I am 90% certain my vote this time is going to the right unless by chance, the dems decide to completely replace the ticket and intro both a new candidates for Pres & V.P... I just can't get behind Harris. I'd prefer Biden stay over her. Please be honest. The only care you have for who the Dem candidate is that they are easy for Trump to beat. You admitted you’re 90% certain in your vote for Trump. Just leave it at that. Anything further is just trying and failing to make yourself appear open to other options. 2 3 Link to comment

I don’t have a reason to like her or dislike her at this point. Bit, as long as Trump is on the other side, she has my vote. I don't hate her I just don't think she'll win. I was not impressed in 2020 when hearing her talk. I have no recollection why but I assume that would still be the case now. She is also only polling like 2 points higher than Biden in popularity. So it's more that I dislike her as a candidate, because I want Trump to lose. Link to comment
Lorewarn
I think there's a number of reasons why people don't like Kamala. #1 - she's a woman. Plenty consciously don't like her for that fact, plenty more subconsciously don't like her for that without the awareness of it. #2 - she's "a cop". Young and more progressive voters find her record as a prosecutor to be distasteful and damning, as "she's not one of us" #3 - related to #2, but on the other coin, she's also a minority progressive. I think there's some amount of grift sentiment that people feel about her, where she tries to chameleon into being an ally for different liberal voting blocs that fundamentally don't like each other. Hillary had the same issue, and depending on your perspective, Kamala's version of it is either better or worse being a black woman. #4 - there's no external sense that she's earned her place. For better or worse, the narrative is that she was an unappealing candidate during the 2020 primaries, and that she only got the VP spot because she was a black woman, and she's done little to nothing since. 1 Link to comment

Usually it is just who will win or who the running mate will be, boring stuff like that. 1 Link to comment

He's been able to get reelected in a deep red state by turning down the vitriol and reaching across the aisle. Newsome is always going to carry the stigma of being from California whether warranted or not. Andy Beshear and Josh Shapiro (moderate white male govs of KY and PA, respectively) are my current best bets for VP. I’d go with the latter if he wants it because swing state. Pete would be great but would turn off some voters for being gay, regrettably. No way they double up on Cali. Plus Newsome probably eyes 2028 as well. Ditto for our governor here, Whitmer. She’s probably thinking about next cycle. Plus the missus thinks an all woman ticket would bother some people too. Link to comment
JJ Husker
@TGHusker Might be time to adjust these poll choices. Turns out the leader in this poll won’t be running 1 1 1 Link to comment

I just don’t understand the mythical plane of reality on which Trump must exist for people to not be able to make an apples-to-apples comparison of pros and cons with Kamala or any other run of the mill politician. It’s absurd how much of a curve he gets graded on by what I can only assume are absolute morons. He’s a stupid, impulsive, vindictive criminal fascist who loves political violence. Full stop. 4 1 Link to comment

I would agree. If Harris is top of the ticket, they definitely need it to be a moderate white male veep, preferably from a battleground state. The death knell for the dems VP would be a further left progressive, all cali ticket, all female ticket, or another minority. 2 Link to comment
