Vance came across as a slick car salesperson.  Walz came across as your neighbor.  

Vance was the Yale trained slick talking point debater,  Walz the experienced, wise old explainer.    Big difference in the 2.  

 

For me, even if Vance had said all of the right things up to this point(which he didn't), his refusal to answer the  'Did Trump lose the 2020 election?' question was the mic drop point of the debate.  If that was mentioned at the very beginning, we all could have just turned off the TV and not bother to listen to the rest.
