Just for context, this 'rally speaker' is Tony Hinchcliffe who's a stand-up comedian primarily known for roasting and edgy humor and has the biggest live comedy podcast in the world i think.

Nobody needs to like or excuse any of this but it's helpful to know where it's coming from.

If we, we as in the normies, were in a comedy club we would be laughing our a$$ off.    Probably not the right time and venue though to have him do his comedy routine because of the optics.

FYI…..he was on college game day two Saturdays ago I believe during the kick for $90,000 making some jokes about gay people.   I think I missed everyone’s outrage about that.  I will have to go back and look ;)

if he is a comedian i hope he hasn't quit his day job.   it helps to be funny when you call yourself a comedian.  a quality that seems to be missing judging from what i saw there.

I wonder if you will be all up in your feels about this joke too?

I don't know if the best defense is "we hired a professional racist to give a speech" is quite the defense they think it is.

Umm, no, that's a pretty bad joke. He should not be asked to return or do any more stump speeches. The key difference being that the party doesn't use racist tropes to gain an advantage during elections.

I understand this is hard for you - the party you vote for is built entirely on rage and racism. It should be hard, you voted for it twice. It reflects poorly on you as a person, your political choices should be judged because they're terrible for everybody involved.

If Trump eeks out a popular vote win in the election, does that mean California and the 17 other blue states that pledge electoral votes based on the national popular vote will give their electoral votes to Trump? That would be humorous. :o

JULY 2024 UPDATE:  Question 2 now has Harris, Trump, Kennedy, Other. BUT  TO VOTE ON QUESTION 2 YOU NEED TO ALSO VOTE ON QUESTION 1 AGAIN.  I ADDED A CHOICE TO QUESTION 1:   VOTE HERE FIRST BEFORE GOING TO QUESTION 2 BELOW.

I saw this article from political the other day and thought we need to keep looking ahead.  The current goal in my opinion is to soundly defeat Trump this election cycle.  But with Trump's failure there may be more radical, more skilled politicians who may step in to lead the Cult of Trump.  Tucker Carlson may be that person per this article.  Before there can be some moderation and return to sanity in the GOP, there candidates must be defeated so that the party can learn.  If it refuses to learn, a new party must be born from the rubble.

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/02/tucker-carlson-2024-republicans-348334

And then we have this below in oppostion to a Tucker run.  I agree wt Anand.   There has got to be a compelling message from the Dems that steers people away from

the Cult of Trump.  Trump needs to be soundly defeated in 2020.  Any Trump like candidate like Tucker, needs to be soundly defeated.  It may take 2-3 election cycles to either

rid the GOP of this vermin or for others to start a center right/center left party to replace the GOP.

OK - THE TIME IS AT HAND. ONE WEEK LEFT.

I am quoting my original post that started this thread back in July 2020.  Looking ahead at that point, we needed Biden to beat Trump but also, we needed to be aware of those that followed Trump.   Biden did win - thankfully.  Trump however, never exited the political stage.  Since then he, the GOP, & the political environment have only gotten worse.

Trump has proven himself to be a would-be dictator.

He has fully 'brown-shirted' the GOP party.  The party has become nothing but enablers and yes men/women to this hitler style politician.

Trump has become a felon, a convicted rapist, convicted fraudster along the way - yet the party still supports him.  It is a cult in every imaginable way.

Good has been spoken as evil (Liz & Adam standing up against the GOP during the J6 committee hearings) and evil is displayed as good -  the dividing of neighbors done by Trump and his sick supporters and enablers.

Many of us who consider ourselves as conservative have never voted for a Democratic presidential nominee.  I haven't.  I've voted independent or abstained the 2x Trump has been on the top of the ticket.  Not this time.  The stakes are too high.  We cannot afford as a country to have Trump in the white house again.  I'm encouraging all conservatives to 'hold your nose if you have to' to vote for Harris.  I don't think you have to hold your nose. She is a woman of character and principles - something Trump knows nothing of.

For those pro-life voters: If you are concerned about abortion - I say this is bigger than that one issue.  We have seen - there isn't much a president can do on their own besides nominating judges.  I don't anticipate any drastic change in the court during the next 4 years.  The Congress will be divided - not much will be done there on this issue. Besides, Harris is very pro-life when it comes to people who are living.... trump - not so much.  As a pro-life community we need to pay more attention to policies that affect those who are alive - Jesus's words of compassion were addressed towards the less fortunate who are alive -he didn't address the issue of abortion.   Clearly Harris is the candidate who will follow his example there.

Foreign affairs:  Harris will follow the current path of supporting Israel and Ukraine.  She will oppose dictators and she will maintain a staff in the State Department which has gained the respect of the world.  Trump and his ilk are not respected and are laughed at.  He is a puppet for dictators and clearly would turn the USA away from its long-held alliances.

Domestically:  There really is only one option.  The economy is recovering.  The main issue: Can we hold on to our democracy?  Everything else is just noise.  This is the only issue at hand that this generation, this election will be know for in the history books.  Besides electing our first female president which is historic in itself,  history will record whether this generation passed the test and 'held on to democracy'.

A lot has happened since my original post above.  This I believe is the most consequential election since Reagan/Carter in 1980.  I think we are all tired of the chaos that is trump and trumpism.  It is time to chart a new path.  I encourage everyone to consider your vote carefully.  As a private citizen (I'm not a part of any campaign), I encourage you to vote for Harris.

The Democrats are what the Republicans were in 1980... the party of war, censorship, abuse of power, and big business.
There will be no safe blue wall, Trump will win big.

The popular vote compact only works if enough states join to equate to 270 votes. They don't yet have enough states in the compact to equal to 270, thus the compact wouldn't trigger.

I think Trump has a low - but possible chance - to win the popular vote. Harris is probably going to win it by ~2%, but if early voting is any indication of enthusiasm, Trump may pull it off.

This is... something. We're not that far removed from Republican's accidently invaded Iraq, a military quagmire that lasted nearly two decades, and it's the *CHECKS NOTES* Democrats that are the party of war. Despite Donald Trump (THE GREATEST AND MOST PATIROTIC AMERICAN) being indicted for a multitude of crimes for abuse of power, it's the DEMONCRATS that are the party of abusing power. Despite the world's wealthiest people, including Bill Ackman, Elon Musk, and other's debasing themselves and acting like MAGA Republican's (who cut their taxes) it's the DemocRATS that are the party of big business.

My man, you're political views are so diluted you are best served to stay out of politics. Voting is not something you should be doing; the result is dangerous because you're views aren't connected to reality.

What you are blatantly ignorant of is that most of the Republicans that supported the War on Terror are now Harris supporters, and the war could not have happened with nearly unanimous Democrat support.
I come here to look and to laugh, this forum is definitely a full bore clown show on shrooms.
And your statement that I should not vote because you disagree with me, epitomizes the Democrat mindset.

I don't want you to vote not because I disagree with you, but because your views are dangerously disconnected from reality.

You should stick to Breitbart forums with this level of nonsense, it's a lot friendly to the make-believe world you've invented for yourself in order to justify the s#!tty politics and politicians (who rape and defame their victims) that you support.
