It would single handedly reduce the virus to nothing. You spit on a sample and if you test positive you stay home, if you test negative you go about your day. If you test positive you spit it on a sample until you are negative then you move on with your life. You wouldn't even have to play the guessing game of staying away from others for a couple weeks.

In sports you could give your entire team a test every morning and just hold out the positive tests. Hell you could allow people to attend games in person so long they test negative the day of the event.

Good points. Let’s “getter done” next month.

Yes, they have a variety of 15 minute tests approved. We've had a variety of issues with ones here including one that was supposed to be ready in May.

Did Europe have enough to export, or was it eveyone for themselves?

Well 5 months ago we just got started. Does Europe already have this?

The World Health Organization adopted a German-developed test as its standard clear back in late January. By March, they were producing millions of them. The US essentially refused it, having a policy that essentially said the CDC, and only the CDC, would develop a test for the US to use. The idea behind the policy was to make sure that everyone was using the same rigorously developed test.

Buuuuut the CDC completely botched its initial test. That first batch of tests that they sent out produced inconsistent and confusing results. Plus it required specialized equipment, requiring that the test be sent off to a lab, which could take over a week to get results. Meanwhile, the FDA essentially blocked other organizations from developing their own tests. All those pharmaceutical companies and research hospitals and universities in the US? They couldn't get samples of the virus to test against. All of this crap didn't get resolved until around mid to late March.

We've been playing catch-up on testing ever since.

My big question is why all P5 conference leaders can't get together and find common ground/compromise so that there is some sort of uniformity on the season?  I don't know how you can have a championship with a whole bunch of different starting and end points.  Maybe Tim Brando was right about having a NCAA Czar?

Do we really want someone who has that kind of power? (See Kevin Warren as a bad example).

If you are referring to an election, it absolutely has nothing to do with that.  That's nothing but Clay Travis rage bait for rubes.  I could buy the liability concern.  If the conferences play they should all start at the same time.

So Big Ten commish Karen Warren did a pinkie swear with you and told you it had nothing to do with that?
