Can't wait to tell all the Trump snowflakes that if Biden isn't their president they better not be "cashin them checks." Love me some Biden Bucks!

I work in banking. Now that Biden is president, can I stop accepting the current stimulus checks? All of them are stamped "ECONOMIC IMPACT PAYMENT - PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP". Seems like a fraudulent item to me.

(Seriously, how insecure does one have to be to make sure their name is stamped on each check? Some have vigorously scribbled out that memo on their check)

Saw someone say he signed an order to eliminate affordable Insulin and Epinephrine, anyone want to weigh in as to why?

I think it’s being discussed in the EO topic. He is freezing the EO until March which would have started doing this, to see if they want to go forward with it. There is debate on whether this would have made it cheaper. The health centers that were going to be required to lower the price are saying they already passing the savings onto the customer and this EO just makes them go to more trouble to continue to keep getting the federal funding they are getting. They are saying they are already doing what the EO asks for.

So that rational would be similar to companies in another circumstance saying:  well we are already complying with all these environmental regulations so we don’t need those regulations anymore because it’s just more red tape and causes more burden on the company.  Would any Democrat say ok, let’s just take the regulation off the books and take the companies word for it?

This isn't a good comparison because you are talking about a regulation that already exists. If no company is dumping sewage into the city swimming pool, there doesn't need to be a regulation telling them to not dump sewage into the city swimming pool. It makes 100% sense for Biden to pause this and make sure it's actually necessary. There has to be data on what these health centers are charging their customers.

Karyn Schwartz, a senior fellow at the Kaiser Family Foundation, noted in a Twitter thread that the 340B price for insulin and epinephrine “will be a penny in many cases,” but the FQHCs “already have requirements to have a sliding fee scale and not charge people below poverty.” So the potential impact of this order would depend on how the HHS secretary defines “low income.”

“If ‘low income’ is defined as under 100% of poverty, this may not really change anything. Even if the income level is set somewhat higher, most patients likely would still have been protected by the sliding fee scale without this change,” Schwartz wrote.

They can make excuses and say whatever they want.  They are being painted as price gouging entities because they are price gouging entities.  Red tape is a piss poor excuse.

I work in Ag, the Obama administration implementation of the Veterinary Feed Directive was aimed at not allowing livestock to be jacked up with whatever drugs the farmer wanted to put in them.  However, all it did was add red tape to those who need to give them simple drugs during seasonal issues and become more cost to the farmer.
