Because Harry Reid ended the Filibuster for federal judicial nominees:thumbs

You're trying really hard to make the claim that McConnell isn't to blame for a vote that he led, but the guy from the other team is to blame. It's ridiculous even for you.

Harry Reid is to blame for all of the norm-busting Moscow Mitch is doing. Even though Reid did none of this, and retired four years ago.

Seems legit.

That is not the claim being made and you know it by keep trying to twist things around which so won’t let you do.  It’s Harry Reid’s fault their is no Supreme Court Filibuster.  Democrat politicians have even criticized Harry Reid for his short sided actions.  This is pretty well established.

It is legit that Harry Reid got rid of the Federal judicial nominee filibuster.  Yes indeed.

This is flat out wrong and I posted a link discussing the vote that McConnell led to remove the Supreme Court Filibuster. Here it is again:

Republicans Abandon the Filibuster to Save Neil Gorsuch

Quote

Republicans on Thursday ended decades of Senate tradition by changing the rules to keep Democrats from blocking President Trump’s nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. On a strict party-line vote at the direction of Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, the Senate invoked what has become known as the “nuclear option” and formally lowered the threshold for ending debate on a nomination to 51 votes from 60, paving the way for Gorsuch to win confirmation on Friday.

The demise of perhaps the Senate’s most famous rule—on nominations if not yet on legislation—came in a series of procedural votes rendered anti-climatic by the aura of inevitability that had been building for weeks after Trump named the 49-year-old Colorado appellate judge to replace the late Justice Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court. The move not only ensures the return of a fifth conservative vote to the court but likely will permanently alter the selection of justices going forward: A president whose party controls the majority in the Senate will no longer need to choose a candidate that can receive bipartisan support, empowering liberal and conservative activists over those in the middle.

Democrats forced the showdown by amassing 44 votes in opposition to granting Gorsuch a final up-or-down vote, denying him the 60 needed to end a filibuster.

I've even bolded the two important parts showing that this is indeed a vote to end the SC Filibuster.

Nothing Harry Reid did changes these facts.

Yeah, I'm not shocked.

Again, I hope this doesn't affect costs elsewhere in the grid. Unfortunately the socialist government of Texas is more than happy to pass costs to the rest of society.

Yes it is.  Harry Reid changed the norm for the filibuster on federal judicial nominees.  Mitch decided to follow Harry Reid’s lead on the Supreme Court.  Mitch would not have done that without Harry Reid’s blessing of previously busting the Filibuster on judicial nominees.

So you DO realize that McConnell did indeed lead the vote and is to blame. You're just being disingenuous in trying to downplay the actions.

So you DO realize McConnell would never have done so without the go ahead from Harry Reid’s actions before.  Downplaying Harry Reid’s role is disingenuous.  Just ask the Democrats who are pissed at Harry Reid.

No one among the un-corrupted is buying that.
