So, when there aren’t any specifics, it’s appropriate to believe the cuts are across the board, which includes these programs. 
 

So, Republicans pass a bill demanding 22% cuts in the budget…and then get upset when Dems say they are cutting these programs. 
 

It’s not the gotcha you think it is. 
 

Why don’t they rewrite the bill with specifics on what they are going to cut?

Republicans want to get to 2022 spending levels plus 1% yearly increase.    Does that sound unreasonable to you given all the Covid spending that has taken place that has inflated the recent years budgets?

We go through this same stupid debt ceiling nonsense because Repubs want to manufacture outrage in order to blame the Dem president. It's a total mystery why the debt ceiling gets raised without issue when there's a Repub president.

 

I'd be amazed at the hypocrisy if it wasn't a daily occurrence.

Instead, they are leaving it up for interpretation. Well, then when people interpret it differently than they intend, it’s not the fault of the people interpreting it.
