Doc Rivers seems like a stand-up guy and I've always liked him as a man, but never understood how lucky he's been as a coach. Seems to fail upwards more than someone like Lane Kiffin. I remember them cutting between the huddles of the Lakers/Celtics huddles in the Finals either 2008 or 2010. Phil Jackson was scheming X's and O's and directly addressing certain behavioral things, while Rivers was just saying things like, "ya know you guys, if you want it enough we'll be able to get this one."
