i see a family that doesn't have any idea how to express gods love.    they appear to have more in common with the taliban and how they show their gods love than the teachings of christ that i recall.

BINGO! :yeah

A reasonable person wouldn’t think the photo has anything to do with how the people in it feel about kids and adults losing their lives to a horrific individual.

Let's try and frame it differently.

If a doctor posed for their family holiday photo with a sign that says "We love opioids!", and someone under their care died from an opioid overdose, do you think the grieving loved ones of the deceased would have an easier or harder time believing that doctor when they try to convince them how heartbroken they are?

Yes.  But when is the last time you learned of a concussion requiring a 2+ week ipatient rehab stay?  I think he must be far more affected than has been publicized.

Yes, must be worse.  He is a old guy as well.   Regardless, Thune's tone deaf response was pretty lame.

The difference is that opioids do serve a healing purpose when used as designed.

An assault rifle is designed to kill as many people as quickly as possible. That's its sole purpose.

If you as a lawmaker use that killing machine to represent your families values while celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, you are absolutely obligated to explain yourself to the parents of murdered children.

Looks like the apologist bulls#!t comment came from Archy.  Gonna stick with the Ignore list for that guy.

i can remember when saying things like that would happen was called hyperbole

As usual, once again quite different than good ol Brian headlines it as.

The legislation would create a whole new crime — dubbed “abortion trafficking” — which is defined in the bill as an “adult who, with the intent to conceal an abortion from the parents or guardian of a pregnant, unemancipated minor, either procures an abortion … or obtains an abortion-inducing drug” for the minor. “Recruiting, harboring, or transporting the pregnant minor within this state commits the crime of abortion trafficking,” the legislation adds.
