TGHusker
Gop leaders siding wt Biden over Trump on Jan 20th. https://www.axios.com/republican-leaders-biden-church-skip-trump-departure-75c20557-3968-4815-8f0c-e6d1ff46704e.html Quote Congressional leaders, including House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, will skip President Trump's departure ceremony in Maryland tomorrow morning in favor of attending mass with incoming President Joe Biden ahead of his inauguration, congressional sources familiar with their plans tell Axios. Why it matters: Their decision is a clear sign of unity before Biden takes the oath of office. What we're hearing: The Catholic service will take place at St. Matthew’s church in downtown Washington D.C., about 10 blocks from the White House. It is expected to begin at 8:45am, sources with direct knowledge tell Axios. Punchbowl News first reported details of the service. Trump's sendoff will be held at Joint Base Andrews at 8am on Wednesday. Trump requested a military-style sendoff with a band and possibly a flyover. 2 Link to comment

Melania has the worse popularity rating of any first lady in history. The Trumps and the country would have been far better of if Trump had not come down that escalator June 2015. https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/19/politics/melania-trump-analysis/index.html I wonder if she is going to wear this jacket as she leaves the WH. DevoHusker
What do I mean by seriousness? It is the burden of knowing that we own our decisions, that our actions have consequences. It is the sense of responsibility that helps us to act without being ordered to act, the instinct that tells us, even when we are alone, that we owe a duty to others and that our behavior affects them as much as it does ourselves.
