Guest Guru
A featured depth chart drama was the plight of former first teamer David Horne, who at the beginning of spring practice was not listed on the two deep chart. He was third behind Cory Ross and Tierre Green (redshirt frosh cousin of Ahman Green). From the beginning Horne took the situation as motivation. His constructive approach was not lost on his new position coach, Randy Jordan, who commented early on, "..Is he going to take (being third string)?.. No. I've just seen a little bit of his personality. He's a guy that fights and he's going to prove you wrong." David capped off a strong spring by being the leading rusher in the spring game and moved to 2nd string behind Ross. Quote Link to comment
