Tinfoil hat here:  Maybe Trump wasn't really confident in the odds of him beating a Dem in 2020.  So he took the strategy of setting up the first 12/18 months of the next President's term to be chaotic as possible.  That way he could stay right there in the background and have a pretty good chance of beating that Democratic President in 2024.  Not only that, he could spend the 4 years not as President fundraising and doing rallies so his followers can worship him.

3 terms of grift for the price of 2!

I, and many others, always had the feeling with the way he talked and acted that he was trying to lose.  Maybe he was?

He said many things that I thought would make him lose. Including build a wall in 2016. :B) The Republican tinfoil hat is that the Obama admin set him up with Russian collusion and leakers. Maybe it’s just the thing to do to incoming admins theses days. :nutz

Haven’t fact checked this claim, but it stands in stark contrast to what happened next. Trump admin lackey on Afghanistan. They were probably afraid of the crazy dude in office, or a deal with the devil was made.

We were down from about 15,000 to a little over 2,500. And for the last 13 months of our administration, we didn't have a single American attacked or a single American killed.
It wasn't because of the piece of paper, that was the set of understandings. It was because the Taliban understood that if they acted against Americans and took on actions that were inconsistent with what they had promised to do, we'd respond and we did.

It wasn't a Taliban attack the other day.

Jesus T***y F*****g Christ, Ben Shapiro much?

Homes are skyrocketing in price because there's not enough new inventory--this was *already* a problem happening under the Bush, Obama, *AND* Trump Administrations that's been since exacerbated by the lack of building materials and supplies.

The lack of building materials and supplies is due to multiple factors:

  • Lumbermills shut down for COVID, thinking there wouldn't be any demand for their products (instead of paying money to protect their workers), and they won because no one is holding their industry to task because half of Congress is full of whackjob morons that don't believe COVID is even a serious concern (until they die from it).
  • Many of the chemicals needed for building materials are supplied by DOW, whose primary manufacturing is in the South of Texas--the same South of Texas that got hit by a snowstorm and couldn't provide power to its residents due to the ineptitude and grift the current Republican leadership has brought. Those DOW chemical plants had to shut down after they lost power, equipment froze, and they're hoping to get back to 50% capacity by the end of the year. This has caused rationing by DOW on its customers, and it was wholly and completely preventable had the State of Texas leadership required weatherproofing and grid redundancies that were recommended since the 1990s and early 00s when similar s*** happened before.

Fuel prices are determined by OPEC and Demand. People started returning to work, so demand went up. It's folly to think that a President has control over fuel prices when there are larger, more significant factors at work.

And it's obvious you don't care to understand what exactly is going on with COVID and why wearing masks is necessary. For those that do care:

  • Masks are to prevent the spread of COVID from you to others.
  • You can be vaccinated and still get (a much milder form of) COVID and spread it
  • Viruses f***** mutate, especially when you have unvaccinated dumbf***s that want to act as incubation chambers because of "MuH FrEEDUMsZ"
  • The Delta variant is especially virulent and attacks younger ages--especially those that can't get the vaccine yet.
  • So in an effort to help protect those that can't get the vaccine yet...that's why wearing masks and showing you are vaccinated is important.
  • Yes, it's more important that your perceived infringement on your "liberties". Especially when your "liberties" are potentially harming others.

So get a clue and quit blaming the administration for things that have been going on for multiple administrations or are frankly just out of their control. And quit listening to garbage people like Shapiro or garbage news outlets like OAN or Fox.

You misunderstood, or you're taking something out on me. You see, when I fuel up at a gas station, I always smile, close my eyes and think OPEC :)

Because......it just feels right. It feels smart.

I mean, everybody in my community feels the exact same way. So don't be so angry!

Nope. Just tired of willful ignorance like yours being a drag on society.

And yes, cute answers only reinforces that you don’t know s*** and have f*** all to offer this discussion and the world.

The reason Vector Victor took you down so convincingly is because he understood you completely.
