Enhance
Took a stab at making oat milk for the first time this week. Didn't turn out exactly as I would've wanted. I thought multiple layers of cheese cloth above a fine mesh strainer would do the trick, but a lot of the sediment got through anyways. Turns out, particularly for oat milk, you really need to have some kind of nut bag and should probably strain the mixture at least twice. But, even such, the final product turned out fairly well. It's just that the mixture separates a bit while sitting, more than it should. I ordered some specific nut milk bags from Amazon so looking forward to taking another stab at it. AND... holy crap does it make protein shakes taste way better than just water. Anybody else make home made milks like this regularly? Any advice or fun things to try? I added a little maple syrup to my first batch. I see that some people also add matcha powder sometimes. Quote Link to comment
Enhance
@GSG I had an oat milk vanilla latte for the first time in my life a couple of years ago and it was breathtaking. I don't think my soul has returned to my body since. Quote Link to comment
