Agree.  It's one of those things that people will try to pin on politicians (to some successfully) when it's not even a political issue.

So BTW - what DID cause the the shortage?  I didn't know there was one until the other day.  Seems like an unusual item to be short of.

From the article @nic posted.

"This issue has been compounded by supply chain issues, product recalls and historic inflation," Datasembly CEO Ben Reich said. "Unfortunately, given the unprecedented amount of volatility to the category, we anticipate baby formula to continue to be one of the most affected products in the market."

The shortage has been exacerbated by the Food and Drug Administration's shutdown of an Abbott Nutrition facility in Sturgis, Michigan. Abbott is a major producer of baby formula.
In February, the US Food and Drug Administration recalled three brands of powdered baby formulas made by the company due to potential bacterial infections, including Salmonella. The agency advised parents not to buy or use certain batches of Similac, Alimentum and EleCare powdered infant formulas, all Abbott brands.
A former employee of Abbott Nutrition filed a whistleblower complaint with the FDA months before the recall, documenting their concerns that the company was hiding safety problems at its Sturgis, Mich. plant. The formulas manufactured at the facility were recalled after four infants drinking it had fallen ill with rare infections caused by Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria. Two infants died, the complaint said.

I hear Republicans and Independents on this board taking stronger stands against Trumpism than elected Democrats.

For the last few cycles, the DNC has been most concerned about not alienating the moderate Republicans they hope to convert but rarely do, often by distancing themselves from their own progressive wing. It doesn't matter what those policies actually are, since everything the Democrats advance will be framed as socialism from the whackadoodle left.

I would donate every penny to a candidate who could calmly walk America through the con jobs perpetrated by both parties. We don't need a charismatic figurehead right now as much as we need a good Assistant Principal.

And, what specifically would that look like?

Not simping for bipartisanship when there's none to be found and actually start working on things that are supported by a majority of Americans and that they promised, and being loud about the opposition in the way when they can't get them through, for starters.

I would like to know what people want Biden to do about this?

If the admin is smart they should attempt something, and if/when it turns around, take credit for it whether their actions accomplished anything or not. They lost suburban women on education topics and lockdowns whether they admit it or not. This could help them.

I'm not a fan of just trying things so they look like their trying.  That's usually when government does something with those nasty unintended consequences.

But, politically, that's what they should do because people are lazy and don't actually think through that the President doesn't control baby formula supply.

I agree, but their motto is to never waste a good crisis. Maybe they can at least show empathy. That would help a little.:)
