Also - Republicans won almost 5% more votes than Democrats did nationwide and STILL lost the Senate and will probably only hold like a 4 or 5 seat advantage in the House.  This is even AFTER gerrymandering districts like Boebert's.

Maybe it's time to stop letting the spoiled, unstable kids drive the car, and put them in the trunk where they were before?

I’ll have some of what he’s having.

I don't think some are aware of how elections work in the United States of America.

You know - everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but they aren't entitled to their own facts.

The gerrymandering got so bad in CO that one of the democratic challengers dropped out of the race.

Both parties gerrymander.  That’s not really in dispute.

I keep hearing that the Republicans had 5million more total votes in house races. The reason (according to Frank Luntz) they did win more seats was because of redistricting. He also claims the pollsters tried to compensate for MAGA types giving false answers on polls or not taking polls by going heavy on Republicans for the polls. …which supposedly explains why they were wrong.

But the democrats have had full control of Colorado for like 6 years. Did they mess this up?

Didn’t look it up. But this sounds off. I read Georgia did away with calling the Friday after Thanksgiving Robert E Lee holiday 6 years ago. The Friday after Thanksgiving is still a holiday however. I have it off regardless of what you call it. Not sure what that has to do with the Saturday after Thanksgiving? Are you sure the new laws don’t simply say that voting starts the Monday after Thanksgiving?

No. They sued because of the redistricting in 2021 and their state Supreme Court said it was constitutional.

I didn’t remember it was an independent commission….but I do have a vague memory on voting for an independent commission. I guess maybe they are not independent? Can the republicans be blamed for this if the commission is supposed to be independent?
